In our “Help Case” section we tell you what to do in case of various beauty incidents. How to fix a broken nail, revive dried mascara or remove foundation from clothes – we will answer one question in each material. Next up is how to increase the longevity of a perfume. Does anyone know that situation where you take 3-5 sprays before leaving the house, but an hour later there is no trace of the aroma? There are a few life hacks that will help increase your stamina.
Apply scent to pulse points

Wrists, behind the ears and neck are the three places where perfume is most often applied. And not by chance. In these places the skin is thinnest and warmest. The scent responds to heat and develops brighter, so applying it to pulse points helps extend its life. By the way, since temples, elbows and knee folds also belong to such places, you can expand your perfume application map to them.
The closer the better
The closer you apply the scent to the skin, the brighter it will sound. Therefore, if your perfume is floral and light, but you want it to be richer, hold the bottle close to your body and spray a few sprays. And conversely, if your scent is strong and even one pump is too much, spray it on your skin from a distance of 30-50 centimeters.
Moisturized skin is the key to success

If you take a shower in the morning, applying perfume to steamed and moisturized skin afterwards is the ideal option. It accepts the perfume composition better and extends its durability several times. You can apply a light moisturizer to the areas you plan to apply. It is better to choose odorless products. Some also recommend applying Vaseline instead of cream; Thanks to its oily base, it prevents the perfume from fading. But let’s be honest, this method is not the most comfortable method because Vaseline remains on the skin as a sticky layer.
Give time to the aroma
One of the most common mistakes when applying perfume is to apply it between the wrists. This way you not only violate the integrity of the aromatic composition, but also shorten its residence time on the skin. After spraying the perfume, allow it to absorb and “settle”. This way it will last longer.
Check keynotes

By their nature, some ingredients used by perfumers are more persistent, while others are less so. For example, floral, citrus and herbaceous notes are considered the lightest notes and therefore fade away quickly. However, oriental scents dominated by wood, musk, sandalwood and amber are more lasting. Therefore, when choosing perfume, pay attention to the scent pyramid.
Pay attention to your concentration
Perfume, eau de Toilette and eau de parfum are not synonymous but three different products. They differ from each other in the concentration of the perfume composition. The larger it is, the more persistent the aroma (add to this the information from the previous paragraph).
— Perfume (Also known as perfume) contains the highest concentration of aromatic compounds – 20-30%.
– It comes after them Eau de parfum (Eau De Parfum or EDP) – contains a perfume composition from 12 to 19%.
— Eau de Toilette (Eau De Toilette or EDT) contains a moderate amount of perfume composition – 8-13%.
