The beauty editor of the British Cosmopolitan asked a question that, by the way, has worried us for a long time – are fillers felt on the lips during a kiss? He conducted his own research to find out; He wrote to his former partners and then spoke to the experts.
Most of the “subjects” said they never noticed the presence of filler on their lips during the kiss. However, some said they felt a difference in touch before and after the filler injection. True, it was minimal.

After the so-called quantitative work, the editor sought the opinion of cosmetologists and plastic surgeons.
According to experts, filled lips should not be different from natural lips in terms of touch. “If you really feel a difference, it may be because you kissed the person before the fillers came out,” says Smith Ramanadham, a board-certified plastic surgeon and member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery.

The doctor also states that if the filling is too dense, it can be felt. There are several types of dermal facial fillers. For example, cheekbone filling is denser as it should imitate bone. And the chin filler is the most durable because it’s designed to give a defined jawline. Lip fillers are the softest and most flexible because they need to be integrated into the skin tissue and not felt. For this reason, when one of the harder fillings is injected into the lips, it may not be as soft as natural fillings.
