We examine the innovations of the beauty market, such as an aesthetic South Korean brand with a history, a brand that even pregnant women can use, and a popcorn-scented shower gel.
SKIN1004 (South Korea)

We met this brand quite recently and were immediately impressed by its unusual design – the landscapes of Madagascar are depicted on the packaging and inside the label. What does Madagascar have to do with it, you ask? And all because the flagship Skin1004 cosmetics line is made on the basis of the centella plant grown on this island. The products themselves can also boast of its high content – 72% in centella extract cream, 74% in toner, but 100% in serum! This cosmetic is suitable primarily for very sensitive, dehydrated skin with a tendency to inflammation. And the brand also has a Zombie Beauty line – more fun and similar in appearance to k-beauty, but no less cool. Our pick was the pumpkin and propolis mask that works with pigmentation, skin tone and texture.
HydroBionique (Russia)

A new cosmetic brand completely inspired by Primorsky Krai. The products contain interesting ingredients such as sea urchin caviar, chitosan and algae. The brand claims that its main purpose is to restore the balance of the skin, which is inherently in us. And it also positions itself as “mastizh” – this word means cosmetics that make premium quality products available to a wide range of consumers.
Cha U Kao (Russia)

A new Russian brand invented by Katerina Karpova (there is already a brand Pure Love and a joint brand Superbank with Maria Komandnaya). The brand was created for young skin and is named after the French acrobat Sha-U-Kao, a clown and dancer from the Moulin Rouge. According to Katerina, the products help balance the microbiome and keep youthful skin healthy. Contains fermented oils, extracts, prebiotics and probiotics. Personally, we love the bright and eye-catching design that will look beautiful both on social networks and on the bathroom shelf.
Oomph (Russia)

The brand that replaced Lush. And here we can stop, but we will give a few details – Oomph was invented by Dmitry Azarov, a partner of a British company in Russia. The brand continues the Lush tradition – no animal testing and sustainable production. We have already tried the new shower gels and bombs and are satisfied. The scents are great but (thank God) not as strong as Lush and the packaging design is concise. Oomph will also do things that couldn’t be done before because of the global strategy. For example, at the launch, Dmitry promised that he would soon release a bath linen. Well, we look forward to it!
Verakova (France)

The brand was created by Bruno Bareto while he was watching his wife’s pregnancy. He realized that he was very meticulous in choosing the means so as not to get an allergic reaction. That’s why the Veracova concept is safety and refinement. And all products are made so that even those with sensitive and reactive skin can use it. The brand claims that the compositions contain at least 95% components of natural origin, and also offers you a choice – there are products with and without fragrance.
