Universal Pictures is preparing to push actress Anne Hathaway for Best Supporting Actress at the 2027 Academy Awards for her role in The Odyssey.
According to a report by Variety, the film studio is already making arrangements for its awards season campaign ahead of the upcoming ceremony.
In addition to Hathaway, Universal could put forward English actress Samantha Morton in the same supporting category. Morton plays the minor role of Circe on the island of Aeaea in the feature.
The studio will also submit Matt Damon, who stars in the lead role of the film. His performance is expected to serve as Universal's primary candidate for victory in the Best Actor award category.
