Tamara Braun goes days of our lives after nearly two years on her last run on the NBC soap. The actor, who plays Ava Vitali, confirmed their departure in an Instagram post.

“Hey to all Days fans!! Tune in if you want to see how Ava is doing DOOL today for her last day in Salem,” she wrote. “I thought I would share some of my memories from the past (almost) two years. Starting at the end and ending at the beginning with my first nasal swab. Oh Covid!! Thank you for all the love and support you continue to show me. I’m going to miss you all!! Wait I’m still here, you can find me on IG!! A lot of love.”

Braun originally joined DOOL 2008 in the role of Ava related to Stephen Nichols’ character Steve Johnson. Her portrayal of Ava earned her her first Daytime Emmy Award in 2009 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She would briefly return to the soap in 2011 when Taylor Walker and Natalia Livingston took over.

Braun reprized her role as Ava in 2015 DOOL celebrated his 50th birthday. She would leave again in 2016. Her final run on the NBC show in the character of Ava began again in November 2020 and will continue until 2022.

What Braun is planning now is not yet known. She previously played in other soap operas such as all my children like Reese Williams and in General Hospital where she played Carly Corinthos and Kim Nero in separate runs.
