On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, the comedian revisits the news with his (spicy!) sauce, including in his 4-minute shower column. He gives us his recipe!

Why did you abandon your column last year, La Réac’ du réac, in favor of 4 minutes including shower?

Pablo Mira: The passing of the presidential election, the loss of Zemmour, and the less favorable social and political context did not seem relevant enough to us anymore. I wanted to go back to a basic exercise of making jokes about the news as regularly as possible. Our goal was to promise the public to find the best valves of the day in this column!

Exercising is not easy…

It is not complex in itself, it is a writing and production exercise that can be difficult at times. I have a team of three writers around me who are as committed to doing the best possible work as I am. This season, it took a month and a half to set up this meeting, but here we see that we’ve managed to make this history quite successful and we’re still intent on getting up to speed.

Is the title of your column a reference to the nickname given to President Chirac, a stubborn temptress including the 4-minute shower, but pretty quick if you think about it?

A little, yes… First of all, I wanted us to quickly understand the concept and know what we would find there, namely humor with some mischief in it!

Is it immoral like one of your last interventions, appearing in mini denim shorts on set?

For example, yes! I borrowed these mini shorts from my partner and we’ve had them framed over our bed ever since! (laughs)

Why did you choose this profession as a comedian? Did you have a plan B in case of failure?

First of all, I had a plan C, an Unemployment plan, if it didn’t work! After a boring political science study and a short journalism career, at 27, I turned to the one thing I was pretty good at: making others laugh. Gradually, I got on television by joining Le Grand Journal (Canal+) in 2014.

Whether it’s on the radio, television, books, social networks, or podcasts, you stray in many ways.

Yes, but I consider myself a comedian first and foremost, and it doesn’t matter in what media I manage to make people laugh. Television was not an end in itself but I must admit I loved it! I am a fan of American entertainment and infotainment shows and I can see myself exploring more of these types of shows… Television is still a medium where we have the tools to create beautiful things and we have a privileged relationship with the public, and this special relationship makes me very happy.
