The BBC has an exciting trailer for the highly anticipated third season of happy valleyCo-produced with AMC+ and starring Sarah Lancashire and James Norton.
After a seven-year hiatus, the route offers a first look at the final episode of Sally Wainwright’s multiple BAFTA winner, in which Lancashire stars as legendary Sergeant Catherine Cawood.
When Catherine discovers the remains of a gangland murder victim in a drained well, it sets off a chain of events that leads her straight back to Tommy Lee Royce (Norton). Her grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah) is now sixteen and has his own ideas about the kind of relationship he wants with the man Catherine refuses to recognize as his father, which puts Catherine’s sister Clare (Siobhan Finneran) in the middle of it all late. . .
The BBC makes a lot of money for the show, giving it the lucrative slot on New Year’s Day at 9pm GMT (1pm PST). Lookout Point took over production from Red Production Company.
Executive producers are Wainwright and Lancashire, with Faith Penhale and Will Johnston for Lookout Point and Ben Irving and Rebecca Ferguson for the BBC.
