The aftershocks of the major management shakeup at Amazon Studios continue.
According to former head of comedy sources Ryan Andolinawho was appointed last month as head of comedy and drama development in the US-based SVOD TV development and series – Wholly-owned team at Amazon Studios, led by Nick Pepper, is in talks to join another Amazon executive join development manager to go studios Amanda Greenblatt, most recently Head of First Look and Overall Offers. The two are rumored to be starting their own production company with a deal on Amazon.
Punit MattooAnother comedy executive from Amazon Studios on Andolina’s former team was set to move to London to head up the UK office led by Rola Bauer, who was recently appointed Head of Pan-English Scripted SVOD TV, Development & Series, where he oversees the development and production of a new series of English-language originals for Prime Video,
Sources say none of these steps have been completed, but discussions are ongoing. I’ve heard that there could be further changes in the Amazon Studios and MGM TV divisions as they adjust to the new structure after the two studios are integrated.
