today Show meteorologist and presenter Al Roker remains in hospital today after being admitted last week for blood clots in his leg and lung.
Roker, 68, who was absent from this week’s NBC morning show, announced his condition on Instagram today, noting that he is “on the road to recovery.”
“So many of you thoughtfully asked where I was,” writes Roker. “I was taken to hospital last week with a blood clot in my leg which caused some clots to end up in my lungs. After a few medical strokes I am fortunate to receive good medical care and am on the road to recovery.
Roker concluded by saying: “Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend.”
