This new feature film will be set in post-war Venice. The crime queen’s flagship character will retire, but on the evening of All Saints’ Day, she will attend a spirituality session in a haunted palace where a murder will sadly grieve.
Actor-director Kenneth Branagh spoke about this new project. “A fantastic character development from the Hercule Poirot and Agatha Christie series. Based on a complex and little-known mystery story set in a perfect town on Halloween, this is an incredible opportunity for us as filmmakers. We are enjoying the chance to present something truly spooky for our loyal viewers.‘ he commented.
In the cast, we will find Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Michelle Yeoh, Kelly Reilly, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird and Riccardo Scamarico. But also French actress Camille Cottin.
Kenneth Branagh will reunite with the creative team of the previous two films, namely screenwriter Michael Green, producer Judy Hofflund and executive producers Louise Killin and James Prichard. Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon will also produce the film.
Filming will begin next November in London, followed by Venice. If no date has been announced for now, the movie should be released in 2023.
