Constance can’t stand the atmosphere at home any longer because of Axel and Théo’s headaches in the morning. She asks them to make an effort. Emmanuel arrives and is not in a better mood. For a convention in Madrid, to which he is invited, he must prepare an original dessert in the event of disaster. Given the tight timing, he needs a clerk. Axel proposes Theo to him, but his cousin claims he has another job to do. While Axel insists, his uncle collects him.
Deva is stressed and spends part of the night preparing for her exam with Chef Guinot. She explains to Solal and Tom that her study session with her partner David went badly. When he arrives, she tries to offer him an idea to falsify the recipe, but the woman prevents him from speaking and scolds him for reassurance.
Emmanuel joins his wife at the infirmary to spend some time with her. Feeling persecuted by her, she takes the opportunity to talk to Theo and Axel about the toxic atmosphere that has prevailed in their home ever since she became close to them. Emmanuel says his nephew isn’t acting like a privileged person, but his wife reminds him that it wasn’t easy for Theo to grow up in his shadow either. He asks her to take a step towards him.
Joachim repairs a furnace in Olivia Listrac’s classroom. As she is about to leave the kitchen, she realizes that she has dropped a secret word in her knife bag. A statement made by someone who is constantly thinking about him without being able to tell him. He was surprised and embarrassed.
increase
Théo is delighted with his first evening at Le Cercle and offers Vic and Billie a quick turnaround. Before leaving, he gives Vic an idea to amp up the meal he has to offer in his next class.
Olivia joins Claire on the Double A terrace and asks if she’s been to the kitchen in the morning, the chef confirms. Olivia tells him that she has been radiant since she made the truce with Louis and tells him the word love. She is disappointed when Claire says it didn’t come from her. She is embarrassed and then wonders who her mystery author might be. Claire uses this opportunity to tell her that she’s not ready to get back together with someone because she needs time for herself.
Axel tells Greg, Mehdi and Vic that Emmanuel will be looking for a clerk for Madrid. They wonder who could be chosen between Mehdi and Enzo and they hesitate. Theo cuts off their discussion and reframes them to get to work.
Tensions rise between Deva and David during their assessment. She doesn’t want to infuse violets into cream cheese and just use it as decoration, as she finds the recipe very clever. However, Deva refuses and tells her that she is the one who made the decision since she is in the 2nd grade. He doesn’t listen to her and follows her opinion no matter what, which drives her crazy. She blames him for making a mistake that will cost her her grades.
During the tasting of his food, Vic is congratulated by Louis, thanks to Théo’s help. He states that he did well in insisting Billie join the Circle. She adds that she plans to propose to Enzo because Theo isn’t just going to settle for first-year students.
Time to taste Deva and David. Claire Guinot seems devastated when she notices the presence of violets in her dishes. But the chief congratulates them on their initiative and gives them 17/20.
change of direction
Théo goes to his father and Antoine’s office for a meat problem. The principal takes the opportunity to ask if things are getting better with his father. Emmanuel comes and asks to talk to his son alone. He offers to create the dessert for Madrid with him, but equally from chef Teyssier to chef Teyssier. With such timing, he announces to her that he is the best option and that he is a true leader.
Deva tells Solomon that she got a good grade thanks to David. He’s angry that she’s better than him when he’s so disconnected. Later, they see him passionately kissing a young woman at the library door.
Vic plays Enzo for the Circle but speaks more clearly to him this time. She is curious but says she will think about it. He insists Theo has just joined them, which causes Enzo to want to know more.
Olivia is congratulated by Jasmine for her beloved lesson. Joachim, who is still there to fix the furnace, admits to himself that he is the best teacher of the institute and that his methods can change a student’s life.
Vic joins Theo to explain Enzo’s arrival to the Circle. He says that he will make the dessert with his father and therefore he wants to leave the Circle, which he did not join for good reasons. He offers to arrange for her to stay there, but confronts her insistence, accusing her of being manipulated by her father. She interrupts him and says he made up his mind and didn’t ask for his opinion.
