Prince Harry looked devastated when he arrived in Balmoral this afternoon following the death of his grandmother, the Queen.
The Duke of Sussex, the last member of the family to arrive at Balmoral Castle, wore a black suit and tie as he sat in the back of a car on the way to his grandmother’s summer house.
A few hours after his brother Prince William and his two uncles Andrew and Edward landed in Scotland, he landed alone at Aberdeen airport.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were in England to attend a charity event in the evening but later canceled their appearances. The Sussexes are ambassadors for the WellChild Awards, celebrating the inspiring qualities of seriously ill children. Duke has been the patron of WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children and their families since 2007, and despite stepping back from royal life, has maintained ties to the organization.

Meghan, like the Duchess of Cambridge, did not attend the family reunion in Scotland but will later join her husband.
The latter was photographed looking dejected after the announcement of the queen’s death.
Heir to the throne, Prince Charles, took a royal helicopter from Dumfries House to Balmoral with his wife Camilla this morning. Princess Anne was already in Balmoral after an engagement this week.
The Sussexes last saw the Queen in June, during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, when they introduced her to their daughter, Lilibet, named after the nickname given to Her Majesty by her relatives.
Having resided in the United States for 2 years, Harry and Meghan have alienated a large portion of the royal family. The widely publicized interviews given to Oprah Winfrey, the pope of American television, in which they heavily criticized Prince Harry’s family, really set the scene on fire. II.
