Boyard Castle – Alexia Laroche-Joubert: "After shooting, I took notes to the teams…"

The president of ALP, a production company in Fort Boyard, was nominated at his own game.

It’s unusual for a producer to be involved in his own company’s game…

Alexia Laroche-Joubert: I loved being on the show in 2012, and when I took over the ALP chair four years later, I told the teams that if they ever had a problem with a candidate they could call me. It happened. Coincidentally, I was on set the day a guest missed his train.

Like all candidates, did you fill out a preliminary questionnaire about your phobias and possible allergies?

No, I just reported a mild shoulder issue to watch out for. I’m not prone to allergies but perhaps I would admit that I don’t really like snakes. The funny thing is to be “taken” by the trials.

Didn’t use your location to find out what awaits you?

Not possible! I knew this was the last show and Father Fouras’ ultimate existence would therefore be the Mysterious Warrior. I asked the producer to be removed from the personality selection to play him. The funny thing is that since he’s a man that I quickly replaced, I found myself with some incidents where you could say I didn’t have the physique…

In general, how did you do?

I’d say average for average candidates with some failures and some successes. I also think I passed the decibel level shouting in a test. (laughs)

Between Fred Bousquet, Candice Pascal, Guillaume Pley, Hugo Manos and Julien Fébreau, which teammate surprises you the most?

Julien Febreau (Formula 1 Grand Prix commentator, Canal+, ndrl), which is very, very competitive. I should have known to put it shoulder to shoulder with another sports journalist in the person of Denis Brogniart in Koh-Lanta!

So which test are you glad you survived?

At the Dollhouse, with the snakes… On the other hand, I regret not doing Angel Leap. I don’t know if I could, but I would love to face myself.

What did the candidate discover that the producer did not suspect?

I’m waiting at the castle. For example, when you are in prison, it may take 45 minutes to be called for another test and you will calm down… After shooting the film, I noted the small improvements to be made to the teams and made recommendations. for example, providing candidates with warm-up exercises.

Also, you recently posted a vacation photo from the Philippines on Instagram… wouldn’t you just take the chance to shoot the next season of Koh-Lanta there?

Talking to you, I’m actually there with my family. And to tell the truth, yes, next season will be set in the Philippines. I join the shoot right after.
