Athletics: A coach has been permanently banned for sexual assault charges

The British Athletic Federation has given coach Toni Minichiello a life ban for sexual assault.

It should not be able to demand more victims. Accused Toni Minichiello “sexually inappropriate behavior”was sanctioned by the British Athletic Federation, which banned him from obtaining a lifetime license. The decision was communicated on Tuesday, August 9th. The coach specifically supervised heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill, who won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics. She was suspended last year, but only temporarily. This time the Federation has definitively approved this decision. Toni Minichiello is accused of sexual assault, inappropriate touching, intimidation, psychological violence and failure to respect athletes’ privacy.

“UKA (UK Athletics) decided that these accusations were extremely serious. They represent multiple breaches of coaching license terms over a 15-year period. They constitute gross breaches of trust by Mr Minichiello. giving birth”explains the body that states it has. “Decided that it would not accept future applications by Mr Minichiello for a perpetual license”. “The UKA would like to thank those who stood out for providing evidence in this case. We thank them and strongly encourage all those affected to come forward.”The Federation concludes.

Toni Minichiello is best known for coaching Jessica Ennis-Hill. She met the British heptathlete at a very young age and looked after him until she retired in 2016.
