Christmas is history, but there is still something to celebrate. The New Year’s Eve festivities will be broadcast across the country on Sunday, December 31 from Puerto Rico to Los Angeles and the famous Times Square Ball Drop in New York City.
The official New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square begins at 6:00 PM ET with the lighting and raising of the nearly six-ton crystal ball at One Times Square. This year’s performers include Enrique Iglesias, Maroon5, Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and Rod Stewart. The ball drop starts at exactly 23:59 and descends at the pole for 60 seconds to usher in 2024.

ABC
Ryan Seacrest is back as host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Night, starting at 8:00 PM ET. Rita Ora, the first co-host in Times Square, and Jeannie Mai will join him in Hollywood. The 52nd edition of the holiday chapter joins Aqua, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Ellie Goulding, Green Day, Janelle Monáe, Jelly Roll, Loud Luxury x Two Friends with Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Megan Thee Stallion, Nile Rodgers & Chic and Paul Russell see his, Renée Rapp with Coco Jones, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Tyla. A Spanish-language countdown with Dayanara Torres from the Puerto Rico Convention Center will air at midnight in the Atlantic time zone, an hour earlier than New York.

New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Party is hosted by Grammy-nominated country singer Elle King Entertainment tonightThis is Rachel Smith. The show features Trace Adkins, Grace Bowers, Kane Brown, Jackson Dean, Hardy, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Trombone Shorty, Morgan Wallen and Bailey Zimmerman. The show will be broadcast live from the Brooklyn Bowl in Music City and stream on Paramount+ starting at 7:30pm ET.

Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper will host the cable network’s New Year’s Eve bash from New York for the seventh year, beginning at 8:00 PM ET. The show features live interviews with Patti Labelle, Jeremy Renner, Neil Patrick Harris, Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, as well as a special appearance by David Blaine. Several CNN correspondents will also be there: Richard Quest will report from the crowd in Times Square, Stephanie Elam from the Bahamas, Randi Kaye from Key West, Florida, Gary Tuchman and his daughter Lindsay from Las Cruces, NM, and Boris Sanchez from Miami.
Fox News channel
The Fox News Channel offers several one-hour specials on Sunday evenings. It airs at 10 a.m. ET Who can forget 2023?, which looks back at the most memorable moments of 2023 with Bill Hemmer, Pete Hegseth, Jimmy Failla, Kennedy, Todd Piro, Janice Dean, Eric Shawn, Gerri Willis, Madison Alworth and more. At 11:00 PM ET, Tyrus will perform his first New Year’s Eve special. Along with Michelle Tafoya, Sean Duffy and Tyler Fischer, he will guide viewers through the most viral trends, most downloaded songs and other favorites for 2023. Zach Greig, an Australian Antarctic Division facility operator, will discuss the unique aspects of loud New Years in Antarctica.

Since New Year’s Eve falls on a Sunday this year, Miley Cyrus has the day off. NBC drops a special and sticks with the most-watched series in primetime Soccer on Sunday nights will feature an NFC North matchup between the visiting Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings beginning at 8:20 PM ET. Both teams are in the playoff bubble, so it’s a must-win situation.
PBS
The pubcaster will broadcast his special Cynthia Erivo & Friends: A New Year’s Eve Celebration from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. E.T. Featuring a collection of deeply personal songs that have shaped Erivo’s career and artistic sensibility, it covers a wide range of genres from showtunes to hip-hop. She is accompanied by Ben Platt and Joaquina Kalukango. Emmy winner Rickey Minor will direct and produce the hour-long special.
