Netflix offers another first look at it Bridgertonis the hot season 3, returning in 2024 in two parts.
It includes new images of the couple whose budding romance is the focus of the new season, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) – known to fans as #Polin – as well as a first official photo of the new season. Francesca Bridgerton, played by Hannah Dodd.
As Deadline exclusively reported in 2022, Dodd is taking over the role of Francesca from Ruby Stokes, who played the elusive Bridgerton sibling in the first two seasons of the wildly popular Shondaland period drama based on the novels by Julia Quinn.
The new photos, which follow the first images of Colin and Penelope from Season 3, offer a look at all the Bridgerton siblings, with the exception of Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), the oldest subject of the first season when Dynevor the left the series after Season 2.
Because Regé-Jean Page, who played Daphne’s lover Simon Basset, did not return for the second season, fans never got to see the Basset couple move past their happy ending in the season 1 finale. This will not happen with Anthony, the protagonist of the second season, and his love interest Kate (Simone Ashley).
As the new photos show, both Anthony and Kate will be back next season and their romance is as strong as ever.
The articles released by Netflix today (you can see them above and below the story) also include key graphics from Season 3, depicting Penelope’s social status in the first two seasons with the tagline “Even a wallflower can bloom.”

Here’s the synopsis: Penelope finally gave up her longtime crush on Colin after hearing his disparaging words about her last season. However, she decided it was time to find a husband, preferably one who would give her enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown away from her mother and sisters. But due to a lack of trust, Penelope’s efforts in the marriage market fail spectacularly. Meanwhile, Colin returned from his summer travels with a new look and a strong sense of swagger. But he is disheartened when he realizes that Penelope, the one person who has always appreciated him for who he was, is turning his back on him. Eager to regain their friendship, Colin offers to accompany Penelope in a trusting manner so that she can find a husband this season. But when his lessons go a little too well, Colin has to ask himself if his feelings for Penelope are really just friendly. Complicating matters for Penelope is her breakup with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found a new friend in the most unlikely of places, while Penelope’s growing presence in the barrel makes it all the more difficult to keep her alter ego Lady Whistledown a secret keep.
