Bobbie Jean Carter is dead: Nick and Aaron Carter’s sister was 41

Bobbie Jean Carter, sister of Nick and Aaron Carter, passed away. She was 41.

Bobbie Jean’s mother, Jane Carter, confirmed the news of her death to TMZ.

“I am shocked by the sudden death of my daughter Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this event for the third time. When I can think clearly I will make a more detailed statement; “But until then, I would ask to grieve in private,” Jane told the outlet.

Jane continued: “[H]No matter how deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child from the loss of a parent must be much greater. For this reason, I would like to ask all compassionate partners to pray for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also without her mother.”

Bobbie Jean’s cause of death has not been released. The tragedy comes just over a year after Aaron was found dead in his home at the age of 34. Aaron’s cause of death was determined to be drowning in his bathtub after inhaling difluoroethane. This flammable gas is often used as a propellant in cans of compressed air and when Alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax, is swallowed.

The Carter family also suffered the loss of their sister Leslie in 2012.

Bobbie Jean was a prominent family member on E! ‘s reality series. Carter house. Over the years, Bobbie Jean has spoken out about her addiction issues, documented her struggles on the show, and landed herself in legal trouble earlier this year for theft. Although not in the spotlight like brothers Nick and Aaron, Bobbie Jean worked alongside her siblings and was considered Aaron’s stylist in the early 2000s.
