Winner of the Make Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards


The Guild of Makeup Artists and Hairstylists has announced the winners of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Awards. Oscar and Emmy Award-winning makeup artist Kevin Haney and Emmy-nominated hairstylist Ora T. Green will be honored at the MUAHS Awards on February 18 at the Beverly Hilton.

“We are honored to recognize Kevin Haney and Ora T. Green for their unparalleled contributions to the art of makeup and hairstyling,” said Julie Socash, President of MUAHS (IATSE Local 706). “Throughout her legendary career, her work has captured some of the most memorable, quirky, creative and iconic characters in film and television.”

Whether it’s the baby’s mustache Addams Family Values or Martin Shorts Japie Glick Primetime Glick, Haney’s characters always surprise with something whimsical in his creations. Haney began his career as the legendary Dick Smith’s lab assistant in the 1980 film Changed conditionscontinued to work on it Saturday Night Live and a staff position at NBC. He created aging effects on Dan Aykroyd Ride with Mrs. Daisy which won the Oscar for outstanding make-up.

His long list of credits also includes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Dungeons & Dragons, Honor Among Thieves, The Hocus pocus FilmsCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man, Planet of the Apes (2001)Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Shawshank Redemption, Dick Tracy, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Fucked Me and dozens more. His TV work includes Friends and The Mandalorian, Friends, Perry Mason and many others.

A two-time Emmy nominee for Road to war And Frank’s apartmentGreen has racked up dozens of television and film appearances, from the groundbreaking 1970s Norman Lear series to Ally McBeal, Star Trek: Nemesis And Sheet. She started her studio career with popular sitcoms Good times, Maude And One day at a time before moving on to feature films, including the Oscar winner for Best Picture Ride with Miss Daisy, Hook, Thirteen Days, Supernova, Wayne’s World 2, and many others.

Green joined Local 706 in 1977, at a time when the union was going through many changes, and was a pioneer who helped open the doors for other women. She quickly proved to be one of the most valuable and sought-after stylists, handling every task with style, grace and her unfailing sense of humor.
