Algerian football is in mourning. Former international football player Faouzi Mansouri has died at the age of 66. Born in 1956 in northern Tunisia, Faouzi Mansouri trained at Nîmes Olympique club, where he trained from 1975 to 1980. During his career, he played for Montpellier and Nîmes, as well as Béziers and Mulhouse. But he probably spent his best years as a football player with MHSC. Indeed, Pailladin scored two goals for the club, the first between 1981 and 1983 and the second between 1985 and 1986. He played more than sixty matches with Montpellier and scored one goal. His career also marked the election he made with Algeria. He played in two World Cups, notably with the Fennecs, in the 1982 and 1986 editions, but most of all he participated in Algeria’s historic victory over West Germany (2-1) in Gijon, Spain, on 16 June 1982. especially associated with Mustapha Dahleb, Rabah Madjer or Salah Assad.
