"It’s over, I don’t need to read the comments anymore" : Final decision of La Zarra after Eurovision 2023 final (EXCLUDED)

La Zarra, which was in the top 10 among the favorites for a few weeks, finally took 16th place in Eurovision 2023 with Frankly. After the final, Télé 7 Jours had the only opportunity to spend a few moments one-on-one with him to learn more about this final round and its future.

Eurovision is a marathon of several months. How do you feel after this finale?

We can never make up for lost sleep, but we will need two days of rest. I’ll be able to sleep better next week! And I think it will be the same for the whole team (laughs)!

In what mood did you approach this last performance?

This Saturday morning was special because there were final adjustments. But then I let it go. Still, I told myself that I should follow everyone’s advice and have fun, this was the performance where I felt the least stress.

After the two arguments you had this Saturday evening, will you be watching the social networks?

To be honest no. I’m going back to the studio to make my second album and prepare for my tour. We’re going to isolate ourselves to write songs in a nice little villa in a pretty hot country. That’s it, it’s over. I no longer have to read the comments. On the other hand, I have established a very strong bond with the Eurovision audience and I will continue to nurture it. But now let’s continue. You have to be smart and go back.

First 3 dreamers, you are only 16 years old.to.

You shouldn’t be disappointed. I swear to you this will feed my whole family (laughs).

During this adventure, you showed us many aspects: in an interview, cash moved in front of your audience (she cried while hugging a disabled fan during a meeting in Liverpool), a glamorous icon on stage… What’s left to explore La Zarra?

We will still meet… How strange, I kind of sat myself on the pedestal and said, “Look at me, I’m a piece of meat, come to me! “. My music was made to experience emotions together. I think we will share a lot during my tour. I won’t chain the songs. I will be able to talk to my audience, laugh with them, tell stories… Continuity. I want to get to know my fans and vice versa.

Is there a special moment in this adventure that impressed and transformed you?

Everything… This process was quite special. We’ve had our ups and downs because we’ve been under pressure. Everyone has their own ideas and wants to impose them. But that’s what working as a team is. To do something great, you have to bring together many great minds. That’s what happened. I am very happy to be able to participate in Eurovision and work with people like Julian Gutierrez. (director of the French performance, editor’s note) Serving for the SuperBowl. It was an honor to cooperate with such nobles. I will keep a very good memory that will serve me for the future.

What feedback did you get from your family?

I have an older brother and he was in the stands! I know they’re proud of me…
