Here is the news that shocked the team better life. Michel Cordes, who played the bar’s boss Le Mistral Roland Marci for nearly 20 years, has been found dead in his home. The 77-year-old actor, who died with a firearm, was going to end his life and leave a letter explaining this move.
Michel Cordes left Plus belle la vie last October, just over a month before the final episode of France Télévisions’ cult series aired.
His character died of a heart attack on the Place du Mistral.
The actor explained to Parisian / Today in France about the ending of the series: “I am not so young anymore. I wanted to rest Let’s say it’s not personally important. But it’s a little embarrassing. Many fans don’t want this to end. They’re tied to the soap opera. I didn’t think France Télévisions would stop it so brutally.
The comedian’s death has left a bereaved crew. Former partners of Michel Cordes showered him with good compliments on social networks.
Laurent Kérusoré, who plays his son on Plus Belle La Vie, showed his pain by broadcasting a black screen.

Plus everyone who knows, does, watches, loves belle la vie has the impression of being orphaned tonight. Michel, our National Roland, for all of us he is like a father. The mischievous gaze of the child he always hides inside him, but also this joyful wisdom, his smile and this voice, this voice that resonates within each of us tonight, as if saying goodbye to us. Farewell to Michael. Farewell, my dear, my caring Michel , conceited, grumpy, and very nice. Laugh in peace.”

Pierre Marto, under the pseudonym Léo Castelli, the police officer in Plus belle la vie writes: “Millions of people saw you as a father, a grandfather, a friend, a brother! The actor was the living embodiment of something so deep in this country – that’s why people loved you so much, the actor believes. You didn’t have to push yourself too hard to get angry at injustices and showing off. Sometimes it made you laugh too! You were so friendly! And the hands are double as mine. It was easy to play comedy with you: you knew men well.”

Fabienne Carat, the series’ unforgettable Samia Nassri, wrote: “Because you loved to laugh, because you had this eternal youth of spirit in you. Because you shared with us all your life experiences as a man and as an artist. Because you were whole, sensitive and fiery. Because you were the icon of our series, the pillar and father of all the actors. Because you have so much life. Because trials, many trials, humiliate very pure hearts, free spirits and benevolent souls. Because you were a rock, because you conveyed to us your passion for words, pottery and originality. Beyond that, we love you”.
