“Like most kids, I grew up thinking my mom was a little – or a lot – inappropriate”said the young woman. “He tried to change my mind by showing me his amazing movie, Star Wars. I don’t know if any of you have heard of it. I haven’t. I’ve never heard of it. Every time he tried to wear it, I would roll my eyes and yell, ‘This is too much mommy’.”
“My mother was full of sparkle”continued Billie Lourd. “She literally and figuratively covered her world with radiance. She left a mark on everyone she met.”
The star of Carrie Fisher sits right next to the stars of Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker). The three stars are located on the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard, near where the original Star Wars movie premiered in 1977.
