Soon, however, Louis challenges her in front of Olivia. He tells her that her mother was in New York the year Diane supposedly came to dine at Double A. Ambre finally admits that he made up this story to empower the chef and help him return to the kitchen. Olivia thinks it’s not a good idea, but Louis disagrees. For him, his mother should be appreciated.

Rose refuses to have lunch with her sister instead of eating in the cafeteria. Her older sister makes fun of her new blouse and hints that she wants to please the students after her good grade the previous day. While talking to Olivia, Claire confesses that she blamed the girls in the brigade again. But she continues, with a nostalgic smile, talking about the happiness felt during this research phase in the kitchen. Olivia realizes that time in the kitchen is good for Claire. She says that even if she remains fragile, she won’t object if it helps her return to the kitchen.
