As the annual British Film Festival is held in the seaside resort of Dinard, a tragedy suddenly disrupts this highly anticipated event. Indeed, bystanders see a corpse in the water and alert emergency services; It doesn’t take long for the emergency services to discover the identity of the victim, a British director competing for the award. Surprisingly, investigators quickly discovered that the latter had been the victim of a shipwreck several years ago, in which her sister, then a teenager, died. Captain Élise, you play, investigates the murder of British filmmaker Owen Fleming. A crime that appears to be connected to a shipwreck that occurred twenty years ago. This case affects him personally. Why ?

Pauline Bression: His sister Gaëlle (played by editor’s note Éléonore Bernheim) was on the boat with three other teenagers, including Owen Fleming and his sinking sister, Lola. Élise, who was very young at the time, was dropped from the small group. With this investigation, she takes her revenge on the past.

What memories do you have of this shoot in Brittany?

It was great. The action takes place at Dinard during the British Film Festival. We shot right after, the posters were still hanging in the city. Then I was surrounded by excellent actors: Éléonore Bernheim, Stéphane Freiss and Antoine Hamel (Judge Boris Belcourt at La Stagiaire, France 3).

You’ve only played cop roles since young criminal Emma in Plus belle la vie. Why ?

This is true. I hit it again, this winter, Murders in the Lérins Islands, 3. Television for France produces many thrillers and original roles are rare.
