How have you been since your 48 victories and your 392,000 Euro win?
I needed some time to carry out the journey, to manage all the news, the people who contacted me on social networks, the family that talked to me a lot about it. I’ve been a little down from my cloud since then.
Did you notice that you got “that high” by reaching 4th place on the leaderboard?
I’m happy with the course I did, after all I still remember it was a great ranking, but I tell myself that maybe there are Maestros who are stronger than me and have been stopped on their journey. So, that’s a good ranking, but that doesn’t mean I’m really fourth-best. I keep my feet on the ground.
How do you evaluate the news in the media after your participation? don’t forget the lyrics ?
Nothing has really changed. I’m not too bothered by it. I continue to do my secret shopping (laughs). Rather, it was friends and acquaintances I had overlooked that came back to me for news.
You were nicknamed “Tinkerbell” precisely because of the number of bells you rang on Nagui’s show. Aren’t you disappointed that Louis beat your record?
Too bad we haven’t called her Tinkerbell yet (laughs)… She ran a great race and won many victories! He worked hard and I’m happy for him that his work is bearing fruit, so there is no disappointment.
Aren’t you too stressed about meeting other Maestros who already know each other very well?
I was very happy to go because I know I was lucky to be a part of this group but yes, I was still stressed and very impressed. I think ‘I’m here, you have to do everything right’ So it’s true that I still put a lot of pressure on myself. In the end we were very well received. [avec Louis et Charlotte ndlr] and there was a strong sense of mutual support. We felt very good.
Has there ever been a Maestro that scared you more than others?
Yes, of course, although I haven’t actually encountered them in this Tournament, that’s not the concept. There are people who still revise a lot and spend a lot of time in their lives revising. I think especially of Margaux, Geoffrey, Renaud, Arsène… These are people for whom there is no room for error.
Did you have any other goals apart from winning 100,000 Euros for an association in the Maestro Tournament?
There are always surprises in the tournament, so we cannot predict the tests we will face. Actually, I didn’t want to be too silly, I had just arrived so I wanted to do well. I managed to really enjoy and let go with the other Maestros so as not to miss the opportunity to have this adventure. The goal was really to make money for an association and it was more of a mutual aid rather than competition. I really liked that because it’s easier to fit into a community when there is mutual support, so it was really great.
How did you prepare for this new competition?
My background was fairly new at the time of filming. It had been two/three months since I had been on TV, so I was still very confident in everything I knew. I didn’t revise it specifically for the shoot, rather I listened to the great classics a lot so I can really keep it in my memory. Above all, I wanted to be well supported and a little guided in my team. I immersed myself in the atmosphere.
Meeting this Friday, April 7, At 9:10 p.m. in France 2 to find the 18 greatest champions of the show at the Maestros Tournament.
