The French adaptation of the American series This Is Us is opening its third season full of surprises. The actress who plays Maud Gallo tells us more.

Are you still very happy to be a part of the great Gallo brothers?

Marilou Berry: Always ! I love seeing my fictional brothers Michaël and Mathis, played by Guillaume Labbé and Narcisse Mame. We found each other good both in the way we play and in the pleasure of being together.

From the beginning of this season, after losing a baby, your character Maud and Tanguy (Marc Riso, photo) will talk about motherhood once again…

Yes, and I’m happy with Maud’s progress. He frees himself from many things, knows what he wants, succeeds in progress. Sometimes he will have to make difficult choices, but he will succeed. And then, a year ago, extraordinary things will happen that he didn’t even think were possible.

Michaël Gallo (Guillaume Labbé) makes every effort to learn more about his father’s past…

Yes, and this season 3 talks a lot about the importance of getting to know your family, getting to know yourself better. What happened during the Algerian war? Why did he go to jail? Michaël must find answers to her questions during the development process, while Maud prefers to know nothing. That was the interesting thing he developed: seeing how each of the triplets reacted when faced with the same situation. And how these reactions allowed their qualities, flaws, weaknesses, and strengths to build…

What does Maud represent for you?

She is like the little girl in me. That’s what I loved right away from the first season. There is a great immaturity in him and a crystallization of childhood moments that affected me personally.

Goldman, Fugain, Cabrel… This season, there is music in French chanson standards again. Did you like this recording?

Completely ! At home, the radio is set to Nostalgia. It’s great to have a soundtrack like this. It’s very rare on TV, because it’s a real budget, but it was impossible to do without it, because it’s also what constitutes the show’s identity.

Season 3 begins with the birthday of the triplets celebrating their 40th birthday… just like you, who turned 40 on February 1. How did you experience this milestone?

Getting old is so weird. I’m waiting for the moment when you’ll be an adult and it doesn’t happen…or maybe I’m not growing up, I don’t know! When I was younger, when I saw people who were 40 years old, they seemed very old to me… I don’t feel old, but to others I probably do. It is very strange and delicious at the same time.

Season 4 of the show is expected I promise youDo you have any other projects?

Since I’ve been making movies for five years, I took a six-month break to enjoy my 4-year-old son. It’s been very good to me. I’ll attack season 2 in a while Marianne (released in France 2 in 2022). I really like the character of this investigative judge who is like no one but a bit like everyone else. And the public reception was such that I was very happy to find him.

I promise you: Monday, April 3 at 9:10 PM on TF1
