Apple gets the original Real detective tied together.
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson star in a half-hour comedy series for the streamer of The Grand Door Prize Creator and showrunner David West Read.
The self-titled series is an odd couple love story centered around the “strange and beautiful bond” between the couple. In the series, their friendship is “tested when their combined families try to live together on Matthew’s farm in Texas”.
McConaughey and Harrelson starred together in the first season of HBO Real detectivewas broadcast in 2014. However, the couple have been friends for years and played together in 1998 Welcome to hollywood, years 1999 computer and that from 2008 surfing dude.
They often vacation together, something described as a “friendship trip,” such as last year’s trip to Dubrovnik to celebrate Harrelson’s birthday, during which the pair rowed together.
The series is produced by Skydance Television, which is behind Apple The Grand Door Prizea comedy series starring Chris O’Dowd, out later this month, and Foundation, donation.
West Read, who also served as writer/executive producer Schott’s Creekwill produce alongside Harrelson and McConaughey, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Matt Thunell, Bill Bost and Jeremy Plager.
