What were your motivations for taking part in this adventure?
Elodie : To join Ko Lanta It has always been a dream for me. This show has been anchored in my gut for years, I’ve watched all the prints. Back in 2016, I got a click when I took a trip to Southeast Asia with my backpack for over two months.
What was the hardest thing to endure on the adventure?
Not being able to do all the sporting events knowing that I came mainly for this. I landed on the black ball three times in four draws. I’m still very frustrated talking to you because even though I’ve been training at the gym for five years, I haven’t been able to show what I can do.
The Reds didn’t like Helena from the start. Did your opinion of him change during the adventure?
My first posts with him were “I’m the most sporty, I’ve been training for two years and I deserve to win”. Those are the words I can’t hear because everyone has been training for years and deserves to win. I really love modesty, and I found Helena sorely lacking in it. Other than that, I have nothing against him. She’s a very good girl and we get along very well, she.

Ok, I’m 35 and I cook very well, but I never eat fish. When I did this, it made me laugh that everyone was criticizing me, even though I knew they were all there for me. Cooking took half an hour, at any time they could intervene and tell me to empty them. Finally got it as a joke, it didn’t impress me.
You were convinced you were eliminated from the board last week. Looking back, was your fear justified?
Looking back, it’s clear that I found myself negative. But there was context, because I couldn’t show my extravagant and sporty side because of these black balls. Later, I spoke to three people who voted against me and thanked them because they gave me a kick in the ass for getting off to a good start.
Regarding the qualifying round that caused you to leave, what do you think was missing?
Christine opened fire behind me but used more fuel. That’s what made the difference. However, when it came to my motivation, I was completely overwhelmed. I gave my all and I couldn’t have done better. In any case, there is a winner and a loser, for the first time I lost. It’s not a regret, it’s a deep disappointment. But when I find it hard to mourn this defeat, I remember being put among 40,000 people and it’s already been a success.
How did you experience the comments and evaluations on social networks?
Production prepares us for criticism. We are advised not to go and read, but it is out of our hands. It’s not necessarily pretty, but I’m trying to take a step back from that. And I say to myself, all these people are not lucky enough to cast for 6 months or survive on an island.
You are also a singer. Will you take advantage of your newfound fame to improve this aspect of your life?
Before I left, I already had a developing music project. When I got back from the island, I contacted my art director and told him we had to work twice as hard. I have three games in preparation that I am proud of. These are my own compositions. I basically make music for myself. But I will be very happy if I can send a message from here. It would be great to hear me on the radio.
How was your return to Belgium?
It’s so hard, my head was still on the island. Almost nine months later, that’s still the case today. I’m happy that I found my life, my loved ones, but I still have this feeling of great disappointment that won’t let me go.
