Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has announced that he is recovering after undergoing hip surgery. He told fans that last week’s surgery “had gone well”.
As the news swirls once again with rumors of a long-awaited Oasis band reuniting, reports suggest that the feud with big brother Noel appears to be easing.
Liam Gallagher, 50, told fans that his hip joints needed to be replaced due to arthritis from a long-standing thyroid problem.
On Twitter on Sunday, the rocker praised the doctors involved in his treatment and care.
He wrote: “Rastas in the morning, I had hip surgery last week. Everything went well and I want to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of me. Many thanks to Team A for getting us home safely. You know who you are. You, I love and adore you. I’m coming from Riverdance, LG x.”

“I hope the surgery didn’t affect your gait,” said one fan after hearing the news! said. But Liam replied: “I want him to review old videos of my walk, so as not to miss anything from my physiology, the return is real”.
Fans are hoping the “return” means the long-awaited Oasis reunion after the feud between Liam and his 55-year-old brother Noel has narrowed, The Mirror reports. It looks like Noel has made a comeback about the possibility of the band re-forming just days after it became known that the rocker had split from his wife of 22 years, Sara.
The High Flying Birds star left the group in 2009, citing his tough relationship with his younger brother Liam. However, there is hope that the group that dominated the ’90s Britpop scene could one day make a much-anticipated comeback.
Liam has said a few harsh words for Christmas over the years and did not attend his 2011 wedding to Sara MacDonald.
In 2020, the mother of two described Liam as “tiring” and revealed that she had never met any of her brother-in-law’s nephews. However, after news broke that the couple broke up, Liam hinted that he was in the mood to leave the past behind.
