Seth Rogen says Marvel movies are “just not for me”.

Seth Rogen has drawn a line on superhero stuff. During a recent interview with Total Film, Rogen admitted that he doesn’t like the MCU and its movies.

While not unusual, it is interesting that Rogen is a comic book fan and has been involved in adaptations like AMC’s. preacherand is an EP up The small team And Invincible.

The difference, Rogen explained, is that he thinks the Marvel movies are aimed at children.

“I think Kevin Feige (president of Marvel Studios) is a brilliant guy,” Rogen said. “And I think a lot of the filmmakers he hired to make these films are great filmmakers. “But as someone who doesn’t have children… well [all] kinda geared towards kids, you know? There are times I forget. As an adult with no kids, I look at one of those things and I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s just not for me.’

Aside from Rogen, however, Marvel’s box office success has piqued interest The small teamadmits Rogen.

“Honestly, without Marvel, The small team wouldn’t exist or be interesting,” Rogen said. “I am aware of that. I guess if only it was Marvel [in the marketplace], that would be bad. But I think it’s not – obvious. An example I keep citing is that there’s a point in the story where a bunch of filmmakers would have thought, ‘Do you think we’re ever going to make a non-Western movie again? Everything is Western! Westerns rule the damn movies. If it doesn’t have a hat and a gun and a wagon, people won’t see it.'”
