Two of the DC series on HBO Max, Titans and Doom Patrol, come to an end. Both recently wrapped their six-part season 4A runs on the streamer, and the upcoming second half of their fourth season will be the show’s final chapters. Both were made to give the series a happy ending.
Titans and Doom Patrol, both from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, is the last live-action series in the now defunct DC Universe. They moved to HBO Max after the first two seasons when DC Universe shut down. Titans and Doom Patrol then ran for two more seasons, with the creatives behind both seasons mapping out those seasons to complete their storylines.
Both Titans and Doom Patrol was well received by critics, with high scores on Rotten Tomatoes, and performed well on the platform according to sparse performance data from HBO Max. It is coming to an end along with other DC shows including The Lightning and star girl on the CW, closes a chapter in Berlanti Prods.” appointment at Warner Bros. Titansdeveloped by Goldsman, Johns and Berlanti based on the DC characters with Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Joshua Orpin, Franka Potente and Joseph Morgan.
In season 4, after saving Gotham, the Titans made their way back to San Francisco. But after a stopover in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers they’ve never seen before.

Doom Patrol, which was part of new Oscar nominee Brendan Fraser’s return to Hollywood, reimagines some of DC’s most iconic superheroes: “Robotman” aka Cliff Steele (Fraser), “Negative Man” aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), “Elasti – Woman” aka. Rita Farr (April Bowlby), “Crazy Jane” (Diane Guerrero), “Cyborg” aka Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), along with former supervillain “Madame Rouge” aka Laura de Mille (Michelle Gomez). The series also stars Skye Roberts, Riley Shanahan and Matthew Zuk.
The series was developed by Carver from characters created for DC by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani.
Season 4 opened with the team unexpectedly traveling to the future to find an unwelcome surprise. Faced with their impending doom, the Doom Patrol must decide once and for all what is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world?
