Jean Dujardin, Virginie Efira, François Civil… Discover the full list of César 2023 nominees

Surprise is a comedy that has largely dominated the César 2023 nominations. Discover the full list of nominees!

At the beginning of January, the Academy of Cinema Arts & Techniques announced that the 2023 edition of César will be chaired by actor Tahar Rahim. Then, the organization announced that for the first time in its history, the animation of the night will not be provided by a master of ceremony, but by nine speakers who are well-known to the public, such as Leïla Bekhti, Jérôme Commandeur, Jamel Debbouze, Emmanuelle. Devos, Léa Drucker, Eye Haïdara, Alex Lutz, Raphaël Personnaz and Ahmed Sylla. However, the nominees were announced on Wednesday, January 25, almost a month after the event aired on Canal+.

Among the nominees for this 48th edition, which will take place on February 24 at Olympia, one film stands out with eleven nominations. Directed by famous actor Louis Garrel, L’innocent is – for once – a comedy. Right behind it, we find La nuit du 12, the crime thriller by Dominik Moll, with ten nominations. To round out the top three movies that dominate the list, in the body Cedric Klapisch and Pacifiction – Torment on the Islands by Albert Serra each received nine nominations.
