EXCLUSIVE: The Euro 2020 final, which saw England’s dramatic defeat by Italy and chaos as thousands of ticketless fans tried to storm Wembley Stadium, is chronicled in a Netflix documentary by My daughter’s killer Producer Rogan Productions.
The as-yet-untitled Netflix documentary, which will air later this year, will examine one of the biggest days in English football history through the eyes of those who were there, through user-generated content, archives and interviews.
The match was England’s first major football final since winning the 1966 World Cup and was played at home, with most of the postponed tournament being played in Great Britain.
And while a dramatic game on the pitch ended in a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to Italy, there was plenty of drama too. Thousands of people without tickets tried to storm the 90,000-seat national stadium and more than 2,000 people were admitted without tickets at Wembley.
Deadline learns producer Rogan called to speak with the day’s contestants.

Rogan Productions, which is already turning Netflix into a true crime thriller My daughter’s killeris a prolific British producer with previous credits including Freddie Mercury: The Last Act, Stephen: The Murder That Changed a Nation and that of James Rogan and Steve McQueen black power and uprising. Deadline revealed in December that Rogan’s signature Channel 4 documentary about the former Daily mail Publisher Paul Dacre was suspended.
