After ‘The Batman’ was one of the 10 highest-grossing films of 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery is waiting for Matt Reeves’ franchise to sign a deal for a new film.

Lately, Reeves has made several spin-offs, including the series “The Penguin” or the one centered on the Gotham City Police Department. It is already known that another of the things that he had in his hands is the sequel to ‘The Batman’, for which he is already writing the screenplay. In a few weeks, he will reveal his plans to the heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran.

A big question is whether we will find the Joker as one of the protagonists in the sequel. Doubts are sown by one of the last scenes of the film in which we see Joker (Barry Keoghan) and Enigma (Paul Dano) strike up a friendship.

Despite the fact that Reeves has already told Variety the year of the premiere that the fact that the figure of the Joker came out in said scene That didn’t mean he was going to appear in more Batman movies., Keoghan has his own opinion. The Joker actor was recently on the Happy Sad Confused podcast where he said: “Of course I would like another appearance”adding: “I have a lot of character work behind me, but you know, it’s only if they decide to make the call, I have to respect that”. When asked what he would have done if the decision to cast the character had been his, he replied: “Definitely, why I have something else I’d like to add. At the moment, I have a little moleskin book that I’ve written a lot in, so yeah, I want people to see it.”.
