Travel expert Natalia Anstal has recommended Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt as the most cost-effective resort destinations for Russian tourists in September 2026.
Speaking to news outlet Life.ru, the head of the travel agency explained that the shift from peak summer to autumn brings lower prices and milder weather across major beach destinations.
Anstal noted that prices for tour packages to Turkey have dropped by about 20 percent. She described the decline as a routine seasonal trend driven by the end of the summer holiday rush and the arrival of the velvet season, when temperatures moderate and rates gradually decrease.
Turkey remains a primary destination for travelers seeking Mediterranean and Aegean coastal resorts. As summer heat fades, hotels and tour operators adjust pricing to maintain visitor numbers through early autumn.
Price trends across the Middle East and North Africa
Extreme summer heat in both Egypt and the United Arab Emirates begins to subside by September, improving conditions for outdoor travel. Anstal said travel companies in the Emirates are actively working to attract visitors by offering more accessible deals.
In contrast, Egypt is unlikely to see a dramatic drop in prices. Anstal emphasized that tour packages to the Red Sea country are already comparatively inexpensive throughout the year, leaving less room for steep discounts.
The United Arab Emirates, located on the Arabian Peninsula, and Egypt, a key North African destination, both rely heavily on international tourism. Milder autumn temperatures traditionally mark the start of their peak travel season.
Low-season bargains in Asian destinations
Turning to Asia, Anstal stated that market prices remain stable without sudden cost spikes. However, travelers can find more advantageous offers in regions entering their transitional off-season period.
In Vietnam, the resort city of Nha Trang is moving into its shoulder season, which brings periodic rainfall. Anstal said prices fall as tourist demand slows, but added that trips remain comfortable because tropical rain showers are typically short.
Nha Trang, situated along the south-central coast of Vietnam, is known for its long beaches and offshore islands. The tropical climate means brief downpours rarely disrupt overall holiday plans.
The advice follows a separate analysis of affordable Asian travel destinations for September. That ranking identified Thailand, a major Southeast Asian destination, as the cheapest country for Russian tourists in the region.
