A 1966 Mercedes Unimog truck, previously used in “The Walking Dead” and “The Hunger Games”, is now available for overnight stays.
The rugged SUV parked in the woods in Kimberly, Alabama has been converted into a sleeping pod. However, the owners note that many original features remain, including “dried zombie blood” on the window.
Accommodations in the truck start at $102 per night and are located next to a treehouse that sleeps two more people.

Airbnb guests can enter the van through the rear doors.
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, the hosts have equipped the accompanying tree house with a small outdoor kitchen, a porch, an outdoor shower and a compact travel toilet with compostable waste bags.
However, guests are advised that the water may not work during the winter months when temperatures drop below zero.
Since there are no shops nearby, campsite guests can order a pizza package that includes a scoop of homemade dough, a bag of pepperoni, a bag of mozzarella and cooking instructions.
And for dessert, there’s a s’mores pack with marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers if you really want to get into the camp spirit. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are also available.
So far, the unique property has received a five out of five rating on Airbnb from 153 reviews and the site calls it one of their “most popular homes.”

“My son and I both made personal pizzas with the kit.” The free cookies were to die for. Flexible check-in and check-out. Lots of hiking trails, we spent some time in Case Rock, not far from the Unimog.
