In the clip, which was released last month, Maya uses a green screen to explain the ins and outs of a festive trip to viewers.
She begins: “Am I the only one who just discovered that it can actually be cheaper to book your trips at the last minute than to book them far in advance?” Because it sure is good to know.
“Nearly 70 percent of us plan to travel this holiday season. So let’s talk about some good tricks to keep in mind.”
Maya continues: “They say the early bird catches the worm, but people have reported saving up to 20 percent by booking same-day flights.”
“It’s definitely a gamble, but if you like excitement, this hack might be for you.”
“The cheapest days to fly are usually Tuesday and Wednesday, but it’s even cheaper to fly on real holidays – and it’s pretty cool to say you flew at the same time as Santa.”
But that’s not all, the content creator adds a whole host of other tips: “Save space in your luggage by wearing your biggest vacation sweater during the flight.”
“Not only are you the most stylish passenger, you also don’t have to pay for extra luggage.”

Maya also pointed out that while you may want to embark on an exciting trip with a last-minute booking, you should always choose to insure your trip to protect yourself against any delays or weather conditions.
“And nothing keeps the holiday spirit alive like insuring your travels,” she said.
“You can’t predict flight patterns, delays and blizzards, but you can make sure someone is by your side no matter what.”
As for Maya’s final tip, she concludes: “You might want to join your airline’s loyalty program. Not just for the free peanuts, but also for the chance to become a top vacationer.
“You’ll get priority boarding, access to the cozy lounges, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re one step closer to first class. ‘Happy Holidays!’
