Barcelona has successfully secured the coveted “Best Bar in the World” trophy.

The award ceremony, sponsored by Perrier, took place in Singapore on Tuesday evening. The list was compiled using votes from The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy, which includes more than 680 drinks experts, including renowned bartenders and consultants, drinks writers and cocktail specialists.

Winner Sips – which opened its doors in Barcelona in 2021 – combines “elegant design with the latest technology to create a simple and playful ‘drinking house’.”

The design aims to “remove any barrier between guest and bartender and focus on the human aspect of service to create a multi-sensory, immersive drinking experience.”
