The 85.95 meter superyacht Ecstasea was involved in an accident in the Simpson Bay Lagoon. Entering the bay on 15 December 2019, a combination of adverse winds and current conditions reportedly caused the superyacht to veer to starboard and collide with the control room on the Simpson Bay Bridge. The bridge keeper no doubt thanked his luck for being outside the control room when the yacht came through.
