A tourist is stunned after opening her hotel room window to find an empty hallway.
London TikToker Ann Chirisu posted a video showing her 94,000 followers the “amazing” view from her hotel room in Iceland.
Wearing pink dungarees and white fleece, she opened the window in her pale yellow painted room.
The window, deceptively covered with a picturesque image of an erupting geyser, opened disappointingly onto a hotel corridor.

London TikToker Ann Chirisu posted a video on TikTok showing viewers her ‘amazing’ view of a hotel room in Iceland
The travel and fashion blogger told her followers: “Hey guys, we just checked into our hotel room and wanted to show you this amazing view.
“Let me open the window.”
The camera zooms in on the picturesque view taped to the mirror and pans to an empty hallway, and guests can be heard giggling.
TikTok users were also confused by the interior design choice, with one saying: “It looks like an emergency exit window.”

But the TikToker could be heard opening the window and looking out into an empty hallway
Another joked: “It’s for room service.”
One TikToker asked: ‘Whose good idea was it to design a window that looks out instead of out?’ I am impressed.’
Ann replied, “Believe me when I say it was such a stuffy room.”
A similar disappointment was shared by hotel guest Miriam, from Wellington, New Zealand, when she booked a “room with a view” that turned out to be a live TV feed from a rooftop camera.

Viewers shared their amusement at the hotel window in the comments, with one saying it was “breathtaking scenes”.
She shared the confusion on Twitter; “We booked a room with a view in Queenstown and it was a LIVE STREAM of the view from the top floor.”
Every room at the Mi-Pad Hotel in Queenstown has access to the live streaming camera that shows the beautiful views of the nearby lake and surrounding mountains from the shared roof terrace.
According to the Mi Pad website, some of the Queen Deluxe rooms “have options for scenic Remarkables Mountains or scenic Lake Wakatipu views.”

A New Zealand traveler has been left disappointed after seeing the “view” at a budget Queenstown hotel. A live stream was broadcast from the roof to the room’s TV
“There was a side street view so I guess they were fair,” Miriam added in the Twitter thread.
One Twitter user commented: “That’s a good argument for ‘I want my money back’,” but Miriam replied: “I laughed and it was cheap.”
