Taylor Frankie Paul has confirmed her breakup from musician Ben Lambert, explaining on Instagram why the relationship could not survive off camera. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star shared the news days after admitting she cheated on Bachelorette contestant Doug Mason with her ex Dakota Mortensen.
"This is a hard post to write out because a lot of emotions come to surface," Taylor wrote on Instagram on September 14. "Ben is a reminder that there are good men out there. He so was patient, gentle, kind, understanding and tried to get me out of the cycle I was in."
The 32-year-old, whose romance with Lambert was chronicled during seasons four and five of the Hulu reality series, said she "deeply mourned" the breakup, though she did not say exactly when the two split.
"We've gone our separate ways," she wrote. "However he will make for an amazing husband and father one day and I hope he finds his person to give all that back to him."
Taylor and Lambert met over TikTok last summer. She is mom to one son with Mortensen and two children with ex-husband Tate Paul.
"I had to let him go because I knew he deserved so much better," she continued. "My nervous system remembered what calm felt like around him, helped me through panic attacks, he listened to me cry, held space and soothed. He reminded me that I am a good mother even struggling. I hadn't heard those words in years, so it meant so much to me."
Taylor said that while dealing with the fallout from her failed Bachelorette engagement and the cheating scandal involving Mason and Mortensen, she could not make the romance with Lambert work outside of the show.
"I'm was and am sorry for all the heartache I caused and have told him as well," she concluded. "I wish nothing but the best for him. If you thought he was a good guy through the screen, you'd love him more off."
Lambert has not publicly commented on the split.
Taylor Frankie Paul Confirms She's Single
Taylor's update came two days after she confirmed she is currently single and announced she is stepping back from sharing her love life publicly.
"Sorry to those that thought they were going to see my redemption arc," she wrote on Instagram on September 12. "That has slowly just begun. I've stayed in, single and celibate this entire time and nobody will have intimate access to me again unless he's my person and that's a promise to myself."

Taylor and Mortensen, who welcomed son Ever in 2024, ended their relationship over his infidelity. "Right after Ever was born, Dakota and I were living together and in bliss with our new baby, and I was even considering engagement," Taylor, who began dating him in July 2022, said during the season two premiere. "And then I learned that he was lying this entire time."
Taylor said a woman named Jenna told her she and Mortensen had been intimate more than once; he denied cheating in a September 2024 TikTok. Taylor said Mortensen accused Jenna of instigating the affair. "No, it was him," she said. "He said he had just kissed her on the couch. No, he went on the couch, they hooked up on the couch, and then they went to the room and they hooked up."
Taylor was set to find love on season 22 of The Bachelorette, but in March 2026 news broke of an alleged confrontation between the exes weeks earlier. A Draper City Police Department spokesperson confirmed to People an open domestic assault investigation, with allegations made in both directions. A video of a 2023 physical altercation between the pair later surfaced, prompting ABC to cancel her season. Mortensen has since started a relationship with show guest star Shinia Powell, having previously apologized to Taylor for hooking up with her during a season four episode.
Whitney Leavitt and Connor Leavitt
Whitney Leavitt and Connor Leavitt, who share kids Sedona, Liam and Billy, married in 2016. Whitney, a Dancing With the Stars alum who announced during her Broadway run in May 2026 that she is leaving Mormon Wives, once had to shut down rumors about Connor's sexuality.
"Do I need to put out a sex tape, or something? Like, trust me," she said on the Off the Vine podcast in October 2024. "We're good. Everything's fine." She explained Connor had struggled with a porn addiction. The couple, who married at 23 and 22, renewed their vows in February 2026 for their 10th anniversary. "We got married really young," Connor told Brides. "It felt like our wedding day, as much as it was for us, it really felt like it was for our families."

Jen Affleck and Zac Affleck, who are not related to actor Ben Affleck, have been married since 2019 and share kids Nora, Penelope and Lucas. A fight after Jen attended a Chippendales show in Las Vegas became a focal point of season one, and breakup rumors have followed the couple since.

The former couple, who share kids Brooks and Cohen, have focused on co-parenting.
