Reality television stars Chloe Lewis and Dan Edgar have officially confirmed their relationship on Instagram while on holiday in Marbella, Spain, after 14 months together.
Lewis, 35, shared a selection of photos from their Spanish getaway on Friday night, giving fans a first look into their private romance. The couple had kept their relationship under wraps since last summer before deciding to share their holiday moments online.
In one trio of pictures, Edgar, 36, planted a kiss on Lewis's cheek while the pair enjoyed a romantic dinner date. Edgar also reshared the photos on his own profile alongside a shot of his view while relaxing beside the pool.
The couple posted updates from El Fuerte, a five-star hotel in Marbella where room rates cost around £357 per night. The resort city on the Costa del Sol is a popular destination for reality television personalities.
In an elevator snap, Lewis dressed in a skintight white top and satin skirt as she cosied up to Edgar. Another photo showed her soaking up the sun beside the pool in a red gingham bikini.
Lewis also shared a picture of a shirtless Edgar adjusting a sunshade to find shade, captioning him the "umbrella man."
Relationship origins and first public appearance
Lewis and Edgar have known each other for many years through their appearances on The Only Way Is Essex and the wider Essex social scene. They first began dating in June last year after attending the second wedding of fellow cast members Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallett in Mallorca.
Despite starting their romance last summer, the pair remained tight-lipped and only hinted at their relationship status in public. They were pictured together for the first time last month during a night out at the Tonic Terrace at the Hilton Bournemouth hotel.
Staff at the venue shared images of the couple on the Tonic Terrace Instagram account. The caption read: "Amazing to have @chloelewis91 & @danedgar pop in and see us on Saturday night. Hope you enjoyed your cocktails and come back and see us soon!"
During the Bournemouth outing, Lewis wore a white bustier paired with jeans alongside Edgar, who recently marked 11 years as a cast member on the ITV reality series The Only Way Is Essex.
Chloe Lewis on past relationships and family life
Lewis joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex in 2015 alongside her childhood sweetheart Jake Hall, remaining on the show until 2019. The former couple experienced an on-and-off relationship throughout their time on screen.
Hall tragically passed away in May at the age of 35 after falling through a glass door while on holiday in Mallorca. Lewis has since spoken candidly about her grief following the loss of her former partner.
Lewis is also a mother to her six-year-old son, Beau, whom she shares with her former partner Danny Fisher.
Dan Edgar on show history and filming with exes
Edgar has had several high-profile relationships during his 11 years on the reality show. He previously dated his teenage sweetheart Kate Ferdinand, then known as Kate Wright, before her departure from the series.
He later dated Amber Turner, who ended her relationship with Jamie Reed for Edgar, and subsequently moved on with fellow cast member Ella Rae Wise.
Following the end of his romance with Wise, Edgar began dating Lewis. He recently spoke about the challenges of filming scenes for the show in Vietnam alongside his former partner Wise.
"The stuff with Ella is a lot more recent, so naturally, it's not ideal being away with your ex..." Edgar said.
"It came to light that she was still quite upset about a lot of stuff. It's not nice, I don't like seeing anyone upset. It was a tough situation to be in..."
"I'm with someone else now and to be out there and see someone else upset and still trying to manage a friendship," he added. "It was all new ground to try and navigate. It's obviously never easy, but we've been trying to manage it the best we can."
