Taylor Frankie Paul, the reality star known for Hulu's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, said on Instagram Saturday that she has stayed "single and celibate" since her season of The Bachelorette was pulled amid multiple domestic violence allegations, and joked that she might return to the dating show to find "The One."
The 32-year-old shared the update alongside photos from a magazine shoot that she said was also shelved after the allegations made headlines. Over a picture of herself posing in a pink dress on a bed of red roses, she wrote: "Sorry to those that thought they were going to see my redemption arc. That has slowly just begun."
Celibacy Vow and 'Redemption Arc'
"I've stayed in, single and celibate this entire time and nobody will have intimate access to me again unless he's my person and that's a promise to myself," Paul continued in the caption.
She added: "We got to see me breaking then shortly after I was sought to be destroyed and instead it ricocheted. Maybe my prayers are heard after all. Such a long way to go but baby steps."
Bachelorette Engagement and Cheating Scandal
In the latest, fifth season of the hit Hulu series, which premiered earlier this week, Paul said she chose participant Doug Mason at the end of The Bachelorette. "And yes, he did get down on one knee and proposed, which I was shocked," she said.
She revealed that she had gotten engaged to Mason while filming but later cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, with whom she shares her two-year-old son, Ever. Paul is also mother to daughter Indy, eight, and son Ocean, six, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.
The Bachelorette is a long-running American dating competition series on ABC in which a single woman is presented with a group of suitors and narrows them down over the course of a season before choosing a partner in the finale. Contestants and stars of the franchise, including its spinoffs, are collectively known as Bachelor Nation.
Domestic Violence Allegations and Pulled Season
In March, fans of the series were shocked when Paul's season was abruptly pulled from ABC's schedule the day before it was set to premiere, following the resurfacing of a 2023 video that showed the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star attacking Mortensen.
During the encounter, Paul was seen throwing metal chairs at Mortensen, one of which accidentally hit her own child. Paul has also accused Mortensen of domestic violence.
Custody Battle Over Son Ever
The pair were then locked in a custody battle over their toddler until June 1, when a judge lifted mandatory supervision for Paul's parenting time with Ever.
The judge granted Paul custody of Ever on the same midweek day each week, without overnights, and awarded her alternating weekends. The judge said Mortensen will remain the "custodial parent" on holidays. The former couple has also been barred from making disparaging remarks about each other in public, including on social media.
Hints at a Bachelorette Return
Paul also teased more material from the shelved magazine shoot and hinted at a possible return to the franchise. "And a magazine cover I never got the chance to share but was one of the most fun shoots.... ps should we release the tapes now just to see?.and maybe bachelorette round two?? lmfao," she wrote.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the Hulu series in which Paul stars, follows a group of Utah-based social media influencers navigating their personal and family lives, and has run for multiple seasons since its debut.
