The monthly refresh features high-profile franchise expansions, literary adaptations, true-crime dramatizations and award-winning cinema across the five primary subscription services.
Netflix will release the second season of criminal comedy series The Gentlemen on September 3, 2026. Created by British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, the show continues the story of Eddie Horniman, played by Theo James, and Susie Glass, played by Kaya Scodelario, one year after the events of the first season as both characters attempt to expand their criminal operations outside the United Kingdom.
On September 17, 2026, Netflix will debut Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, the latest installment in the true-crime anthology series produced by Ryan Murphy. The season stars Ella Beatty as Lizzie Borden, the Victorian-era Massachusetts woman who was tried and acquitted for the axe murders of her father and stepmother in 1892.

The streaming platform will also expand its feature film library on September 1, 2026, adding 17 Again, About Time, Alien, Aliens, Jaws, Scarface and additional catalog titles. Prime Video will launch its September 2026 programming schedule between September 9 and September 29, 2026, focusing on dramatic series, romance titles, thrillers, family conflict narratives and book adaptations.
The schedule opens on September 9, 2026, with romantic suspense drama Enfrentados: Marfil. The story follows Marfil Cortés, a young woman who is kidnapped and inexplicably released, prompting her father to hire mysterious bodyguard Sebastián Moore to protect her amid growing personal attraction and unseen threats.
Dramatic series El juicio, starring Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez and Spanish actor Pedro Alonso, will premiere on September 11, 2026. On September 16, 2026, Prime Video will release Catedrales, a miniseries adaptation of the novel by Argentine author Claudia Piñeiro. The drama reconstructs across two timelines the 1986 murder of Ana Sardá, whose burned and dismembered body leads her sister Lía back home 30 years later to honor her father's final request.
Romantic drama La Hipótesis del Amor, adapted from the popular novel by Ali Hazelwood, will premiere on September 23, 2026. The story centers on Olive, a doctoral student who enters into a fake relationship with intimidating professor Adam Carlsen, creating unforeseen professional and personal complications.
Prime Video will conclude its monthly rollout on September 29, 2026, with anime feature film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Castillo Infinito 1.
