Russian tourist Sergey Mironov is returning home on August 21 after being released from custody in Egypt following a resort hotel arrest.
The 61-year-old locksmith from Samara Oblast was freed after an Egyptian court partially acquitted him and imposed a fine over an incident in which he accidentally touched an Arab woman on a hotel dance floor.
Mironov's Egyptian defense lawyer, Ali al-Sheikh, told news agency RIA Novosti that his client was released from detention and planned to fly home on the morning of August 21.

Resort hotel altercation
Mironov had arrived in Egypt on August 4 alongside his wife, Tatiana, for a vacation at the five-star Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh Golden View Beach Resort.
During an evening entertainment program at the resort, hotel animators invited guests onto the dance floor. While dancing, Mironov accidentally brushed against an Arab woman who was also attending the event.
The incident enraged the woman's husband, who attacked Mironov with his fists. Hotel employees intervened and separated the two men before further violence could occur, allowing Mironov and his wife to return to their hotel room.
Police detention and court ruling
Later that night, police officers arrived at the couple's room and knocked on their door. Officers took Mironov into custody and brought him to a local police station.
The arrest followed a formal complaint lodged by the woman's husband under Egyptian legal provisions covering indecent actions toward women.
Mironov remained under arrest while legal proceedings took place. An Egyptian court subsequently granted him a partial acquittal, opting to penalize him with a fine rather than continued confinement.
