The industry organization reported that the most noticeable weekly price drops occurred on travel packages to Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

Egypt recorded the largest price reduction over the week, with package costs falling by 26.8 percent. Trips to Egypt for two people taking place between August 24 and August 31 start at 99,500 rubles. Prices for travel packages to the United Arab Emirates dropped by 21.4 percent over the same weekly period, with trips starting at 110,000 rubles for two. Packages to Vietnam fell by 20.9 percent, with prices beginning at 156,000 rubles for two people.

Top budget beach destinations

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia compiled a ranking of the six cheapest international beach options available in the final month of summer. Turkey placed as the most affordable overall option on the list, with package prices starting at 98,000 rubles for two travelers.

Thailand also featured among the six most budget friendly destinations, with package rates starting at 123,000 rubles for two. Trips to Hainan, a tropical island province located off the southern coast of China, started at 124,000 rubles for two people during the same late August period.

Surpass European visitors in Antalya

The late August price reductions follow strong Russian passenger traffic to Mediterranean resort areas earlier in the summer. Figures showed that Russian travelers surpassed European visitors to Antalya in July 2026, when 651,900 Russian citizens visited the Turkish coastal city.

The Association of Tour Operators of Russia is a national trade group representing major travel agencies and tour operators across the country. It regularly tracks market rates, hotel bookings and international flight volume for popular holiday destinations in North Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
