Television network Starz has unveiled the episode titles and official trailer for season two of Outlander: Blood of My Blood ahead of its September 19 premiere on Movistar Plus.
The ten episode prequel series will return to screens on Saturday, September 19, following more than two months of anticipation after the initial announcement of the premiere date.
Official Episode Titles Announced
Starz revealed the official titles for all ten episodes comprising the second season of the historical fantasy drama. The upcoming season opens with an episode titled Remembrance Day, followed by The veil of time, Rabbits don't swim, A portion of my soul, and Forgive me, father.
The second half of the season continues with episode six, titled Small mercies, followed by Heart of the Highlands, The dance, Another man's shadow, and concluding with episode ten, titled Twelth night.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood is a television prequel expanding the fictional universe created by American author Diana Gabaldon in her bestselling Outlander novel series. While the original series focuses on time travel in 18th century Scotland, the prequel explores the parallel love stories of the parents of core characters Claire and Jamie Fraser.
Plot Details for Claire and Jamie's Parents
The newly released trailer provides fresh details regarding the storylines surrounding Claire's parents, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Beauchamp, portrayed by Jeremy Irvine and Hermione Corfield. During the first season, an unexpected journey through time left Henry and Julia separated across the 18th century Scottish Highlands before they eventually reunited at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun in hopes of returning to their era and their infant daughter, Claire.
The preview for the second season picks up at that exact moment, depicting a distressed Julia left alone with her baby. Separated from his family and his sense of hope, Henry must deal with mental health struggles while fighting to find a path back to her.
English actor Jeremy Irvine gained international recognition for his breakout starring role in Steven Spielberg's film War Horse, while Hermione Corfield has featured in major film productions including Mission: Impossible and Star Wars. In the series lore, Craigh na Dun represents the standing stone circle located near Inverness that serves as a portal for time travel.
Clan Conflict and Family Loyalty
The second season also advances the arc of Jamie Fraser's parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, played by Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater. Their forbidden relationship previously survived family resistance, but their romantic getaway was interrupted when burning crosses were lit and the Jacobite rising of 1715 broke out, throwing Scottish clans into warfare.
Although the couple chose each other over their respective families in the first season, the new episodes force them to prioritize clan loyalty. Brian must honor his obligation to fight in the rising, while Ellen works to reconcile with her family.
