Lifestyle tycoon Martha Stewart, 85, has boasted about her skin while posing alongside basketball star Karl-Anthony Towns for Town & Country magazine. Stewart, who built a media and homemaking empire through her lifestyle brand, addressed ongoing speculation about her age-defying appearance during a cover shoot for the magazine's 180th anniversary edition.
In the photoshoot, 30-year-old NBA center Towns, who recently married model Jordyn Woods, a close friend of reality TV star Kylie Jenner, appeared almost comparable in age to Stewart. Her luminously youthful features have attracted a persistent stream of plastic surgery rumors, which she strenuously denied earlier this month.
When asked during the interview to name the fanciest thing about herself, Stewart offered a touch of self-flattery regarding her complexion. "My beautiful hair and skin. I don’t mean to sound vain, but it does make a difference. It’s what people remember," Stewart said. The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Stewart for comment.

Plastic Surgery Denials and Cosmetic Care
Town & Country, an American luxury lifestyle publication founded in 1846, selected Stewart and Towns for its landmark anniversary cover. Public fascination with Stewart's ageless looks previously reached a fever pitch in 2023 when she became the oldest cover model in the history of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at age 81. Speaking to People magazine days after her 85th birthday this month, Stewart insisted she has avoided surgical procedures. "I have not had any plastic surgery at all," Stewart said, adding, "I don't think I need it."
While rejecting major cosmetic surgery, Stewart disclosed that she receives regular dermatological touch-ups. She explained that she avails herself of "a little bit of fillers" from her dermatologist, Dr Dan Belkin, visiting his practice "maybe once every four months for touch-ups." However, Stewart categorically closed the door on any major surgical overhaul, declaring, "I'm not getting boobs done and hips and butts and stuff like that."

Skincare Regimen, Exercise and Genetics
Describing herself as "more a maintenance kind of person," Stewart detailed her approach to non-surgical skin preservation. "I do facial exercises and have the best facials from Mario Badescu and Georgia Louise. Peptides are very good. I take a few peptides. So that’s what I do," she explained, referencing high-end skincare specialists.
Stewart credited her youthful appearance to a combination of genetics and a disciplined routine. "My mom looked great at 95. We eat well. We don’t drink very much. We don’t smoke. We eat healthy food. We exercise daily. I horseback-ride," she said. Three years ago, Stewart disclosed to actress Pamela Anderson in an interview for Elle magazine that her fitness regimen includes a low-impact Pilates session "three mornings a week at 6:30am."
Addressing her physical condition, Stewart added: "I have nice bone structure and I’m strong and I’m healthy. But I work at it. I take care of myself. And I do have good heredity."

Dining Preferences and Upstate Farm Life
The magazine feature also highlighted Stewart's strict dietary habits and drink preferences. Stewart revealed that she never orders room service while traveling. When enjoying a cocktail, her signature drink is a "Martha-tini," made with Polish Zubrowka bison grass vodka and served with an orange slice.
In New York City, Stewart frequents Elio's, an Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side that she has visited since it opened in the 1980s. For special occasions in Manhattan, her preferred dining spots include luxury Japanese venues Masa in Columbus Circle and Joji beneath Grand Central Terminal.
When not in Manhattan, Stewart spends time at her 153-acre estate in upstate New York, where she raises a flock of more than 200 chickens. If invited to dinner by her fanciest neighbor, Stewart said she would bring "a box of my beautiful eggs," adding, "They are the best."
