Rapper Lil Nas X has announced the death of his mother, Tameka Hill, in a post shared on Instagram.
The 27-year-old musician shared a series of photographs of his mother on Saturday, August 29, alongside a message expressing his grief.
In the caption accompanying the images, he wrote that she should rest in peace and described her as the best there ever was. He added that he loved his mother forever and stated that her passing would hurt.
The images posted by the rapper included a close-up photograph of Hill looking into the camera, a picture of the pair posing together at an event, and a childhood photograph taken years earlier.

Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, is an American rapper and singer who rose to international prominence with his hit single Old Town Road. Born in Georgia, the artist has become one of the most recognized figures in contemporary popular music.

The artist had previously spoken publicly about his relationship with his mother, acknowledging that their connection had faced challenges over the years.
