When the editorial started talking about how to build teams without thinking twice, everyone came to a common denominator. In the last days of summer, I wanted to go somewhere off the Moscow Ring Road, and given the heat in the second half of August, a collective decision was made to go to the reservoir. At that moment, all the pieces of the puzzle came together and we went to the Pirogovskoye reservoir to master sailing yachts in the Power of the Wind.

The Power of the Wind is a sailing community that not only organizes walks in the water areas of Moscow and other cities of Russia (there is even a trip to Kamchatka among the tours provided), but also excursions to the most beautiful places in the world. : From Greece to Seychelles. The men vouch for the safety of the training and say that the yachts on which we will train in the first place do not capsize. They also provide a life jacket that cannot be removed even for the sake of a nice photo (we learned).

In general, training on sports boats is a very interesting and most importantly fun activity. Especially if you get the main pranksters of the office on your team. And if you are worried that you need physical training to manage a sailing yacht, we hasten to please you, because there is nothing complicated in this! Professional and attractive instructors will give you a short but fun tour of the yachting world, show you what to do to get out of the water and even teach you a few professional words.
And at the end of the training, the guys from the Power of the Wind provided us with a cozy gazebo with soft ottomans and warm blankets. So our active team formation ended less excitingly than it began.

When our coach (charming Sasha) said for any kip other than hunger strike, I knew right away that we would work together. In general, in “The Power of the Wind” they are ready to fulfill almost all your wishes – in this sense, the guys practically turned out to be cooler than I expected. This summer, they were constantly flagged in the feed on a banned social network, so my visit was only a matter of time – it’s not always easy to stick to photos of yachts against the backdrop of a sunset in Moscow, now it’s time to take your own photo. have. To be honest, that was the primary reason – after all, I hadn’t sailed until then. And when it comes to the atmosphere, the Power of the Wind fulfills perhaps even the most exaggerated requirements – it’s just an opportunity to escape the stuffy city with its abnormal heat, closer to nature and water. I recommend going to the training in the afternoon (check the sunset time in advance) – so you’ll definitely catch the most perfect sunset worth a million likes. And I hope you are lucky with the wind, but even in its absence, such a walk is definitely worth it. Just imagine fresh air, a magnificent view and yourself on a yacht – they are ready to organize such an environment every day in “The Power of the Wind”. Then, to end one of the best summer evenings with a glass of wine, you can stay overnight in cozy glamping on the grounds of the club with small terraces in front. And be sure to promise to come back.

Training in the water is always a thrill, speaking as the captain’s wife. And the Power of the Wind has it all in terms of equipment and safety. All sheets in place, sails whole and ready to catch any wind. Our yacht instructor is a special love – Eric. A man believes in his wards, so in two hours I managed to take a photo (where without him?), and sat on the gennaker and, under Eric’s strict guidance, anchor the Yacht with the crew (you know, if you have an editor-in-chief on board, it’s a big responsibility. ! :)). In general, I want to return as soon as possible and conquer the waters of the Pirogovsky reservoir again under the branded black sail.

This was my first sailing session. The instructor met us at the pier, explained everything, appointed my colleague Ksyusha as shkotov (a funny word, but a very important position, even a little jealous). And then our journey began! We pulled the ropes, sailed, then pulled out, generally doing everything real athletes do. We couldn’t arrange a race with our colleagues because there was no wind, but despite this, our Bad Boys team (I don’t know why we needed to name it, but we chose this) had a great time. We enjoyed the sunset, tied the knot and even set the third sail.
